Evidence of Work
For our teams' CAPSTONE project we decided to focus on the science of music technology, more broadly, how we can make music technology and production more accessible and easy to learn. What better way of going about this than by making an easy to use education kit, which is exactly our teams plan.
Our first step was to make a long-term action plan so that we would always know what needed to get done for different parts of our project's timeline. To do this, we created a Gantt chart (which is linked below).

One of the other main methods of brainstorming and productivity management was through a website called Padlet, which allowed us to compile thought and ideas onto one shared document (also linked below).

Another large part of the project is locating and working with mentors. After doing this, we aimed on brainstorming for the final product. One part was designing a basic logo idea for our team. After we had done that we moved onto surveying students, which would prove extremely helpful for the focus our product. With our market audiences' input now taken into consideration, we can eliminate and add functions and details to our project that wouldn't have been apparent before. The final steps for planning came in the form of our "Demands and Wishes" doc and the "Proposal", where specific details about the project and our intentions were organized.

Concepts
CAPSTONE - a year long process in which students pursue independent or group research on a question or problem of their choice, and - with the guidance of a mentor - produce a substantial product that reflects a deep understanding of the topic.
Music Technology - the study or the use of any device, mechanism, machine or tool by a musician or composer to make or perform music
Gantt Chart - a chart in which a series of horizontal lines shows the amount of work done or production completed in certain periods of time in relation to the amount planned for those periods
Mentor - a central figure in the Capstone process, the student-mentor relationship has a significant impact on students' experiences and long-term plans

Reflection
Through the introductory process of the project I learned many things about project planning and coordination. I felt that we did very well communicating as a group, even going about creating a group chat to discuss plans during and after school hours. We would always divide the work fairly and never really had any disputes on workload or ethic. For example, before completing the 4 page proposal we decided which group members would write which parts of the document.
One of the things our group could improve on is quality of work. There were numerous assignments we would turn in and would be returned because they were missing important aspects or the point of the assignment was lost. For example, after turning in our proposal document it was made clear to us that certain aspects (detailed in the example document provided to us) were missing and needed to be including before re-entering the assignment.
